Ramazan Aygun receivedNSFfundingforthefollowing:  

  • CC* Data Storage: High Volume Data Storage Infrastructure for Scientific Research and Education at Kennesaw State University Shared as Open Science Data Federation Data Origin. This is a 2-year project with $500K funding. The proposal was submitted through the Center for Research Computing. Jeff Delaney, Martina Kaledin, and Todd Pierson are strategically supporting the project.  

Congrats to the following team who have been published at Journal of Medical Internet Research - Formative Research. Congratulations team- Maria Valero de Clemente is the first author of this paper, PriyankaPola,KatherineIngram,Ph.D.,Oluwaseyi Falaiye,HossainShahriar,Liang(Alex)Zhao,SheikhIqbal Ahamed.

Sudhashree Sayenju

Sudhashree Sayenju, a fourth-year PhD student, just published an article in the International Journal of Semantic Computing. The article,"Quantification and Mitigation of  Directional Pairwise Class Confusion Biasina Chatbot Intent Classification Model", investigates whether a classification model hugely favors one class with respect to another. This paper was a result of work that Sudha has done on the CSAR research lab sponsored by Travelers Insurance.  Co-authors on the paper include Dr. Ramazan Aygun, Dr. Yifan Zhang, Professor Bill Franks, and PhD students Jonathan Boardman and Duleep Prasanna Rathgamage Don.

Congratulations Jobair Hossain Faruk, on being selected for SDG Future Fellowship Program:The SDG Futures Fellowship aims at education about the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDGs), leadership, and professional development. The fellowship program is a year-long program spanning the academic year 2022-23 and offers a great opportunity for students to learn more about the UN's sustainability challenges in and around Atlanta and around the world, and how communities can organize to tackle these issues.

Md Jobair Hossain Faruk, a master of science in software engineering student at Kennesaw State University has participated and presented one of his research work focusing on computing education at the 29th International Society of Transdisciplinary Engineering (ISTE) TE 2022. The conference was organized and hosted by the Massachusetts Institute of Technology with the theme of the Future of Engineering. Jobair's travel was supported by the department of software engineering and game development.
