Overview
Upon admission to KSU Journey Honors College, honors students are eligible for both need- and merit-based honors scholarships. For the Fall 2022 academic year, KSU Journey Honors College extended over $657,000 in scholarships of varying amounts to honors students.
Out-of-State Tuition Waivers are available for out-of-state and international honors students. A limited number of waivers are available, and they are delegated on a first-come, first-served basis.

Eligibility
You must be accepted to Kennesaw State University and KSU Journey Honors College. Each scholarship may also have additional eligibility criteria as specified below. Scholarship amounts may vary annually based on market performance and other factors. More information on all KSU scholarships can be viewed below.

*KSU Journey Honors College continues to raise funds to provide academic scholarships to as many honors students as possible. Currently, we are unable to offer every student an academic scholarship. However, we do encourage students to reapply for honors scholarships every academic year via the online scholarship portal.

*PEGS Students also travel internationally twice during the five-semester program. A significant amount of additional scholarship funds are provided for students in the PEGS program.

Ancient and Modern Classics Cohort
Eligibility:
Acceptance into the Ancient and Modern Classics cohort and the KSU Journey Honors College
KSU-calculated high school GPA of 3.7 or higher
SAT score of at least 1220 or an ACT score of at least 25 (with the exception of fall 2023 admits)

Dasher-Spruell Scholarship
The purpose of this merit-based scholarship is to recognize highly motivated, academically talented first-time first-year students enrolled in the KSU Journey Honors College at Kennesaw State University. The scholarship is intended to assist with filling the gap between the cost of attendance and funding from Georgia’s scholarship and grant programs. The Dasher-Spruell Presidential Scholarship may be used toward the cost of books, room and board and any other educational expenses, including study abroad.

The Dr. Patricia E. Davis Scholarship
This scholarship, intended for English majors enrolled in the KSU Journey Honors College, honors Dr. Patricia E. (Liza) Davis, professor of English, who served as director of the Kennesaw State University Honors Program since its inception in 1995 until her retirement in December 2016. The scholarship honors Dr. Davis’ unwavering commitment to her students and her outstanding leadership in growing the honors program.
This one-year, non-renewable scholarship is intended to support juniors and seniors majoring in English who are in good standing in the KSU Journey Honors College; preference will be given to rising seniors entering their final year of study. The award may be used for tuition, fees, room, board, study abroad program fees or any other educational expenses.

Honors Travel Scholarships
All KSU Journey Honors College students may submit an application for study abroad support. The application linked below will be reviewed on a rolling basis and may be submitted by traditional honors students as well as honors students within any KSU Journey Honors College cohort.
APPLY FOR STUDY ABROAD SUPPORTTravel Scholarships for Ancient and Modern Classics cohort students
Students must apply and be accepted first to KSU Journey Honors College and subsequently to the Ancient and Modern Classics cohort to apply for these travel scholarships. The deadline for the Ancient and Modern Classics travel scholarships is in November. All members of the Ancient and Modern Classics cohort will be notified of the application process.
Students seeking study abroad support for the Spring and/or Summer 2023 semesters should submit their applications by Friday, November 4, 2022 for best consideration.
Barry and Sylvia Hyman Endowed International Education Scholarship
The Barry and Sylvia Hyman Endowed International Education Scholarship was established in honor of Dr. E. Howard Shealy for his years of exceptional service to the study abroad program in Montepulciano, Italy. This scholarship will provide financial assistance to students properly enrolled in the Honors Ancient and Modern Classics cohort to study abroad in Italy. Recipients are awarded a scholarship to be applied towards the fees associated with their education abroad program.
