The purpose of this merit-based scholarship is to recognize highly motivated, academically talented first-time first-year students enrolled in the KSU Journey Honors College at Kennesaw State University. The scholarship is intended to assist with filling the gap between the cost of attendance and funding from Georgia’s scholarship and grant programs. The Dasher-Spruell Presidential Scholarship may be used toward the cost of books, room and board and any other educational expenses, including study abroad.
Additional eligibility requirements:
- Applicants must have an incoming academic high school minimum GPA of 3.7 or better,
as determined by KSU
- Applicants must be residents of the state of Georgia
Expectations:
- For the scholarship to be renewable to the same student for a maximum of four years
(assuming funds are available), he or she must remain in good standing in the KSU
Journey Honors College and maintain a minimum GPA of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale each award
year.
- The recipient will serve as ambassador for or representative of the KSU Journey Honors College and will be expected to participate in at least one Honors College activity or event per semester, as overseen by the Honors College.
- The recipient will participate in at least one student organization (Honors Club,
discipline-based Honors society, fraternity/sorority, Center for Student Leadership,
student government, or other registered student organization.
- Must enroll in the Introduction to Honors course during first semester in KSU Journey
