Residential Options for Academy Students

Housing and Residence Life offers Academy students residential housing options in University Village Suites.  These are two-bedroom, one bath units located on the north side of campus.  You can find more information about University Village Suites by following this link: https://ksuhousing.kennesaw.edu/options/university-village-suites.php.

Resident Assistants live in the halls and can assist students in successfully navigating and maximizing their on-campus college experience. The Academy for Inclusive Learning and Social Growth offers on-campus residence to our fully accepted first year ASCE students and all returning students.  For information about off-campus housing, please visit the Adult and Commuter Student Affairs' website.

  • Students requesting campus housing must be approved to apply for campus housing by the Academy Admissions Committee upon acceptance to the program.  These students will receive an Academy-specific Housing Application for consideration and should include requested accommodations completed by a certifying professional.  Completed forms must be submitted via email to academyadmissions@kennesaw.edu.  In collaboration with Housing and Residence Life, our Social Advisor processes all housing requests, coordinates roommate pairing and room placement before the start of the Fall semester.

Families must follow the directions and deadlines set forth by Housing. KSU Housing sets prices and guidelines for housing leasing agreements. Families should carefully review the housing leasing agreement prior to completion. Housing requests received late will be placed on Housing waitlist and will not be guaranteed a room.  Please keep in mind, thousands of KSU students' requests on-campus residences.  We strongly encourage our students to continue to check their KSU Student email for any communication directly from Housing and the Academy Social Advisor.

  • As a truly inclusive program, Academy students are fully integrated into Residence Life.  Our students can attend Residential Events and receive their campus mail.  For information regarding Campus Mail services, please visit Housing Facilities website for details.

Our Social Unit plans several special events, often in collaboration with various university partners, to encourage student participation in the dorms, like Movie Night and Game Night.  Like any college student seeking to gain the full college experience, Residence Life promotes social growth and development by offering the same experience all university residents receive.  Students are strongly encouraged to become knowledgeable about and utilize natural supports, like the Resident Assistant, to communicate and resolve any dorm-related concerns.

  • Like all college students, Academy students can select their move-in date online.  We encourage parents to frequently visit the Housing Move-in website for more information. The move-in process is outlined on Housing and Residence Life website and includes a list of Frequently Asked Questions.
