Appointment Availability

Scheduled Appointments

All students may schedule face-to-face appointments and virtual appointments. These are 30-minutes sessions that are great for more in-depth discussion.

Due to New Student Orientations, appointment availability is limited. Students must have a physical photo ID in order to meet with an advisor.

When scheduling an appointment, the log-in is your NetID and password. The same as logging into Owl Express. In-Person and Virtual appointments are offered. Same-day appointments are not available. Appointments tend to fill up quickly. The next available appointment may not be until next week.

Drop-In Appointments

Students can drop in to see the Academic Advisor that is on duty for quicker advising conversations. These meetings are usually no more than 15 minutes long and can be subject to a wait time.

In-Person and Virtual Drop-In Advising
Wednesdays: 9 am to 12 pm and 1 pm to 4 pm

In-Person Drop-In Advising
Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays: 2 pm to 4 pm

For In-person Drop-Ins, check-in at the front desk with a physical photo ID in Kennesaw Hall Suite 1314 on the Kennesaw Campus. The first available advisor will call you back when it is your turn.

For Virtual Drop-Ins: Call 470-578-6055 to be added to the waitlist for a Teams meeting. You must have your KSU ID number ready. All drop-in sessions are via Microsoft Teams. We do not offer advising over the phone. Please be aware that your meeting may not be immediate. The front desk staff can give you an estimated wait time.

* Drop-in advising is limited. You will meet with the advisor that is available. Drop-in advising is designed for quick questions such as withdrawing from a class or registration errors. Students wanting more in-depth advising such as changing majors, multiple semester degree plans or meeting with a specific advisor should schedule an appointment.

The following topics are unavailable for walk-in advising:

  • Course Repeat Requests
  • Study Abroad/Exchanges
  • Business Advising Holds
  • Multiple Semester Planning
  • Academic Appeals
  • Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) Appeals
